Didcot is a railway town and civil parish located in the ceremonial county of Oxfordshire, England. It was earlier a part of Berkshire and is situated about 50 miles (80 km) west of London, 10 miles (16 km) east of Wantage, and 15 miles (24 km) south of Oxford. The town’s name is derived from a Saxon village called “Dudda’s Cot” (Dudda’s Cottage).
